Being a mom of five active kids, I feel like I’m constantly doing laundry. I need the kids clothes to last, and can’t afford to replace items each time they get stains. Food stains on my three year old sons clothes and dirty socks are my biggest laundry battles. Thankfully, I was given the opportunity by Mom Central to try OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover and a soaking tub put to the challenge of removing tough stains around my house.
My mom had just purchased some pretty, vintage, shabby chic linens from Goodwill, but they had a funky smell and were definitely stained. They were dull white and cream with several mystery stains. To be honest, I wasn’t sure they were going to come clean and odor free. I’m a “follow the directions” girl, so I filled the soaking tub with mix and hot water according to the instructions on the OxiClean tub. I let them soak several hours, and then washed and dried them. I was pleasantly surprised how nice they turned out! No more mystery stains, and they were completely odor free.
When I would hear of OxiClean, I used to automatically think of a laundry product, but did you know it can also be used around the house for bigger stains? I had no idea. I had to give this a try. The container claimed it could be used to clean grout, and I had the perfect spot to try, the tile by my backdoor. It gets used every day, and often bears the brunt of wet, dirty shoes on rainy days. In short, the tile and grout were grimy. Again, following the directions, I let the OxiClean soak a bit and then gave it a good scrubbing. Voila! Clean tile and grout, amazing.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of OxiClean and received OxiClean items to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate. I am not obligated to post a positive review, and as always, my opinions given here are 100% my own.
