My neighbor has a variety of fruit tress in his yard, and is very generous with the fruit, always giving us as much as we want. About this time every year, we end up with lots of kumquats. They're sour little buggers if you eat them like an orange, and sadly they usually just sit in the fruit bowl until they go bad. I just don't know what to do with them.
So, I've searched Pinterest, and found a small handful of ideas.
I might just have to give some of them a try.
Kumquat Tarts
Kumquat Sour
Coconut Kumquat tea cake
Poached Kumquat and Almond Cakes

Wow! You are super creative! I had my first bite of this fruit a few weeks ago when I visited my cousin in Florida. Unfortunately it was juicy. We think it was frost bit. Blessings to you from NanaHood!
I vote for the coconut tea cake! Sounds interesting. Happy WW!
well they certainly look pretty in the bowl!
Good idea using Pinterest

I love kumquat marmalade personally... and candied kumquats, but that tart looks intriguing too!
I pinned the Kumquat Tart.
I think the tart looks yummy. Never had a kumquat. I did recently see them in the store though.
Those are really great ideas for using kumquats.. they look yummy!!
Oh these look good, what if you "pickle" or "marinade" them in a sweet sugary jar... Don't know the proper term, my mom used to make a sweet treat doing something like that with lemons, with peels and all.
Thank you for the link up, found you over at another WW link up, hope to see you over at http://daytodaymoments.blogspot.com

I love those little things! Haven't had one in years though!
I just eat them. They're expensive to buy. They're little but like the sour taste of it..

Never tried a kumquat before. Thanks for linking up! Now following your blog.
Have you tried eating them whole? They are so delicous and fresh, I love them. The skin is sweet and you just pop the whole thing in your mouth. Yum.
