Kumquats, what do you do with them?

Tuesday, January 24, 2012
My neighbor has a variety of fruit tress in his yard, and is very generous with the fruit, always giving us as much as we want. About this time every year, we end up with lots of kumquats. They're sour little buggers if you eat them like an orange, and sadly they usually just sit in the fruit bowl until they go bad. I just don't know what to do with them.

So, I've searched Pinterest, and found a small handful of ideas.
I might just have to give some of them a try.
What do you think?

  1. Wow! You are super creative! I had my first bite of this fruit a few weeks ago when I visited my cousin in Florida. Unfortunately it was juicy. We think it was frost bit. Blessings to you from NanaHood!

  7. Oh these look good, what if you "pickle" or "marinade" them in a sweet sugary jar... Don't know the proper term, my mom used to make a sweet treat doing something like that with lemons, with peels and all.

Thank you for the link up, found you over at another WW link up, hope to see you over at http://daytodaymoments.blogspot.com

  15. Have you tried eating them whole? They are so delicous and fresh, I love them. The skin is sweet and you just pop the whole thing in your mouth. Yum.
