Kids Sports, Starbucks Coffee, & Walmart Bakery Muffins, Oh My! #DeliciousPairings #cbias

Springtime sports season is literally just around the corner. My two oldest boys are both playing baseball for the same team this year, but most of you know that kids sports mean early morning games and practice. Now, this momma and early mornings don't mix well until I have my coffee, and the kids have their breakfast! If you're a mom on the go like I am, I just might have the answer for you!
My go-to solution this season for a quick, easy, and delicious on-the-go breakfast is Starbucks Medium House Blend and Walmart bakery banana nut muffins. The flavors in the medium blend mix so well with the nut flavor in the muffins, you can't go wrong!

If you've not yet noticed, the bakery at Walmart and Starbucks have combined efforts to put together a "Delicious Pairing" of coffee and bakery items. Really, how much easier can that get? 

Knowing I'd have a busy weekend ahead, I headed to Walmart late Friday evening to grab a few items. How many of you know that in the course of a busy moms day, sometimes the only time to shop is late at night, so we want to get in and out, hoping that what we need will be easy to find. 

My first stop was the bakery to grab my coffee and muffins. I realized that if you don't see it right away in your store, just patiently look around a bit. For me, it was towards the back of the bakery, and I might've missed it if it weren't for the famous Starbucks logo hung above the display. 
Also, if you shop later in the evening like I did, the display might be picked over like mine was. There were only a few bags of the Starbucks coffee left when I was there, especially the bags of coffee beans in the roast I was searching for. I wouldn't have didn't minded that though, because I enjoy a freshly ground coffee. However, I was able to find just one bag left in the ground coffee, so I scooped it up and added it to my buggy.

The next stop was in a different section of the bakery, just around the corner, where I grabbed a box of the signature bakery banana nut muffins. And, because my boys have quite hearty appetites, I also grabbed a box of bakery blueberry muffins. 

If you're like me, you might not be sure exactly which flavors make the delicious pairing, but no worries there, because there are signs that let you know exactly what mixes with what. 

After collecting all the other items on my shopping list, I sleepily headed home. I knew the next morning was going to come early, so I simply set the boxes of muffins on the counter, as well as the box of coffee.

When I stumbled out of the bed around 7 a.m. on Saturday morning, ready for that fist cup of coffee, a few of the kids were already up ready for their weekend to begin. They had already dug into the muffins, which I was alright with. They're an easy breakfast for the kids, which was my ultimate goal. 

 

I brewed my coffee and tried a few sips. I'll admit, I'm a Starbucks fan, and a bit of a coffee snob. I want my coffee to taste good, every time. This was the first time I had tried the medium house blend at home, so I took a few sips before grabbing a muffin for myself. The flavor is smooth and rich, but I'll admit that with the addition for the banana nut muffin, the flavors just pop! Not only in my coffee, but the muffin as well, so I can feel like I'm having a gourmet meal on the go!

Away we went, to begin the weekend of baseball practice. I love the sports that my kids play, but spring baseball is my very favorite! I want them to eat a bit before they start the day, and I'm happy that I've been able to find a food that they can enjoy in the car, and I can pair with my coffee in the car or on the bleachers as their number one fans!
