If you're planning a trip to Northwest Florida this Fall, or maybe if you're already a local here like I am, then here's a great list of family friendly events to do around the area. Pensacola, Florida is widely known for it's beautiful white sand beaches, as well as The Naval Air Station base.
And I realize, I don't share nearly often enough about my part of the country. It's beautiful here, if not hot, but Fall is the perfect time of year to get outside and enjoy the area!
Here my top 10 favorite things to do around Pensacola during the cooler weather season.


Pensacola Seafood Festival {September 25-17, 2015}


Savor delicious seafood and enjoy the historic surroundings of downtown Pensacola during the 38th annual Pensacola Seafood Festival, produced by Fiesta of Five Flags.





Pensacola Interstate Fair 
{October 22- Nov 1}


Eleven Fun Days to enjoy one of the top 50 fairs in the country!




The National Naval Aviation Museum is enjoyable for every age. Home of the world famous Blue angels, the museum is free to enter. Your family can enjoy 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on its 37-acre grounds.
You can view more than 150 aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard aviation.

Fun ranging from Aircraft & exhibits, IMAX Theatre, Flight Simulators, and more.

Sweet Season Farms

Visiting Sweet Season has become a tradition to my family over the years. We love to hunt the pumpkin patch to find just the right one. The whole family will enjoy running through the Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch, Hayride, and TONS more!

Wales West is the name of a popular RV resort, campground and railroad theme park located in Silverhill, Alabama (less than an hour from Pensacola). In the Fall the railroad becomes The Pumpkin Patch Express.






Tour Times in Historic Pensacola Village: 11:00, 1:00, and 2:30.

Guided Tours of our historic homes and buildings three times daily at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Guided tours are part of admission ticket. Tours will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

The market is open every Saturday from 9am to 2pm, rain or shine.
Location
Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza on N. Palafox St. between Wright St. and Garden St.
Fresh produce, live plants, baked goods, fine art, and antiques are just a few of the items offered by vendors at Palafox Market in Downtown Pensacola. Items originate directly from onsite vendors who grow, make, or create the fruits, vegetables, herbs, and art for sale.

Goods arrive straight from the field or kitchen to be sold under the shady trees of Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza.

{November 6, 7 & 8, 2015}

Enjoy a weekend of relaxation with the family as you browse more than 200 of the nations best artists. 

The Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival is one of the best-regarded, most popular arts festivals in the United States. The three-day, juried art show exhibits painters, potters, sculptors, jewelers, graphic artists, craftsmen and other artists, as well as a children's area. 

The Festival is ranked #29 in the nation by Sunshine Artist Magazine and the American Bus Association has named the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival one of the Top 100 Events in North America.
