As Christians, introducing our kids to the Word of God at an early age is something my husband and I are passionate about. Through parenting over the years we’ve realized that different ages obviously do best with different types of Bibles.
When they’re young, they need simple. As they grow older and can comprehend more, we’ve tried to keep the Bibles they read age appropriate.
The newest Bible my 10 year old son is reading is the NKJV Study Bible for Kids. The brightly colored cover is attractive, but the way the inside is designed is what works really well for him. It’s a study Bible with Biblical facts and themes, and it includes topical and applicable articles that kids ages 8-12 can understand easily.
Because this NKJV Study Bible for Kids captures his attention,
most nights my son reads it on his own as a part of his bedtime routine without needing to be reminded. When a Bible makes reading fun, it opens their little hearts and minds to want to learn God’s word, which makes my heart happy!
