Designed with pre-teens in mind (although impressive to kids both younger and older), The Aetherlight sparks imagination and engages kids to explore the Bible in a new way- through a game.
My son has his own YouTube channel focused on gaming (find him here) and has created a fun gameplay and walkthrough intro to The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance™
I suggest letting your kids watch it and see for themselves how great this game is.
This generation communicates in a different way than those before them. I know that gaming is a great way to reach kids, but not through cheesy, preachy, or low quality technology, which I was honestly a little worried would be the case with this game. But rest assured, this game is NONE of that. I am so surprised and impressed at the high quality and thought behind the entire platform. In the steampunk inspired world players connect and discover, and hopefully see the Bible in a new way that reaches them where they’re at.
Embark on epic quests! Join the Resistance and work with the mysterious Scarlet Man against the evil Usurper. Puzzle, quest and craft your way through a fantastic steampunk world that is ruled by the self-proclaimed Emperor’s Automatons and smothered by the poisonous fog. The Aetherlight is where point and click meets RPG!
The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance™ tells the same story refreshed and invigorated to recapture a digital generation with the grand story of God.
“The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance is more than a game,” said Tim Cleary, Scarlet City Studios’ Aetherlight world builder. “It’s an immersive experience that, carefully balancing theology and theatrics, brings to life the biblical narrative for a digital generation. It connects Scripture and real-life application through the world of Aethasia as a high-quality, state-of-the-art game that allows players to experience the mission of God in Scripture for themselves. It’s fantastic, then, to be able to offer a physical, tactile Bible to match this rich experience.”
