This is one of my favorite holidays!
I always thought it would be fantastic to be born on the fourth of July, and have fireworks in celebration every year.
We are truly blessed to be living in America, where even on a bad day, it’s the best country in the world!
Today, we have the freedom to spend time with our friends and family. We will eat a good food, laugh and be happy, go to a baseball game, and keep our little ones from freaking out over the noise of the beautiful firework displays.
Today, as we enjoy our God given freedom, I also challenge us to just take a second and think and pray for those in other parts of the world where they don’t have those liberties. Those that don’t have the freedom to spend time friends and loved ones of their choice, or family around, food to eat, baseball games to watch and play, and they hold and console their children at night because of much more deadly noises just around the corner than loud firework displays.
Be blessed today! Hug your children a little tighter, spend a few extra minutes chatting with that family member, go outside and play catch in the backyard. Today and everyday in America lets remember to be thankful for the Grace of God on our country, and those that have served and fought for us to have the liberties and independence that we do!
