A Wreath of Snow by Liz Curtis is a beautiful novella that will leave you warm from the winter chill. Set in one of my favorite time periods and places, Victorian era Scotland, the two main characters Margaret Campbell and Gordon Shaw draw you into a story of forgiveness and hope that will leave you warm on the inside. 

One thing that I am always fascinated by book settings in time periods gone by, is how they serve as a reminder of how important manners and propriety were. Everything from the clothing people wore to a look or statement from one to another. A persons word was their honor. As you follow Margaret and Gordon on their journey, you are left with a little bit of longing for that gallantry again.

A Wreath of Snow will leave you smiling and with a hopeful heart that true forgiveness of one another can be found through Christ’s love.
