My little guy Isaac stayed home from school this past Monday with a bit of a virus, but he’s the kind of kid who, even when he’s sick, he doesn’t loose an ounce of energy. That being said, I decided to give him a fun little Valentines Day craft do to. This heart is an easy last minute craft appropriate for preschool and young school aged kids.
Supplies-
- I used a 10×10 canvas, but any surface will do
- Heart shaped felt stickers
- Adhesive backed heart shaped acrylic jewels
- A pink paint pen
I drew a big heart outline for him to use as his pattern. Then, he went to town pulling the backing off his felt hearts. He made a cute red and pink pattern for the outline.
Then, because he got tired of pulling of the paper backing, we worked together to fill in the inside of the heart.
This little project occupied him for a good bit of the morning, it gave us some time to do a fun project together, and he was so very proud of his art when he was finished!
In case you‘re interested in the felt & acrylic heart shapes I used, they were from a collection of supplies I have from an awesome craft website CraftProjectIdeas.com.
