I don’t know why, after all the years of motherhood, in my head I somehow still equate summer vacation (when all the kids are home) to what seems like the perfect time to reorganize and tidy my house. I mean seriously, could those two subjects even be more contradictory to each other? I’m not sure what I’m thinking sometimes. Recently on my agenda has been to clean and organize our shelves and drawers. Not just organizing them, but sprucing them up a bit and giving them an extra pop using Duck Brand’s Shelf Liner. I’ve found that the Duck® brand’s adhesive and non-adhesive shelf liners are an easy and decorative way to organize and keep a home clean and tidy looking.
Project numero uno- my much beloved, overstuffed, and just plain bookcase.
It’s nothing fancy, just your average brown bookshelf. I knew this pretty Select Easy Liner® in the taupe swirl pattern would be just what these shelves needed to make them stand out. This type of liner is non-adhesive but has grip the top and bottom. I like the consistent uniform pattern so you don’t have to over think lining everything up just right because it’s just simple to do. It’s even machine washable.
The shelves were overcrowded, disorganized, dusty, and in need of an entire overhaul. Quickly and easily. Duck® shelf liner to the rescue. It’s very easy to cut and install. Obviously first I removed everything from the shelves, gave them a quick cleaning, and then got to work measuring the length and width I needed to roll out my shelf liner and cut it. Lucky for me, I could literally fold the liner in half and cut clear down the middle for two pieces to fit on two shelves.
