It’s Class Ring Time High Schoolers- Check out the Jostens Ring Designer!

December 11, 2014 by Molly

Time goes by so fast. Parents, you agree? I mean, can you believe that we’re days away from another new year? The school year is already half way over.
I’ve got two high schoolers- one’s a senior just about to graduate and one’s a freshman, just starting to make his way through the next four years. My daughter inherited my high school class ring and she also has a 2015 one of her own. Back about a hundred years ago when I was in school, we didn’t have a huge selection of designs and styles to choose from. Our kids, on the other hand, have tons of beautiful and unique options available. Did you even know you can design, preview, and order class rings online? I had no idea!

Jostens High School rings are a household name, since Otto Josten created the first class ring in 1906. Maybe you’ve also inherited unique class ring from your parents or grandparents?
Now, with the Jostens Ring Designer online, you can create a stylish, trendy, and unique high school ring right before your eyes! No second guessing the metal finishes and design elements because you’re looking at your ring as you design it.

My freshman son and I sat down and designed a few over the weekend. I was surprised that he was into it, but he was as impressed as I was with the process.
We started by choosing the Luxe Collection (these were just the styles we liked best).

From there, we were both immediately drawn to the uniqueness of the ShadowCast rings by Jostens. I’ve never in my life seen a class ring look so gorgeous. He especially liked rich-black metal finish, and said he’s never seen one like it either.

Designing a ring is easy. The website walks you through every single step, from stone options, to side designs, to metal choices and finishes.

Although there are several non-traditional ring choices available, from concave engraved designs to roman numerals, the traditional Tribute ring from Jostens was our first favorite. It’s available in the black Jostens ShadowCast Rings finish, so we fell in love with the final design.

Our second favorite is the Vanguard ring from Jostens in the antique finish. I especially liked the two color stone options on the top.

Because I’ll be ordering his class ring in the next year or so, I went ahead created an online profile with Jostens and saved the rings we designed until we’re ready to order.
And, as time has already proven that it flies, that day will be sooner rather than later. What about you, what type of ring would a special student in your life choose?
