Good news for fans of This Is Us, our wait is almost over!
Season 2 Premieres September 26 at 9pm on NBC, and I don’t know about you but I can’t wait!
There are very few show I take the time to watch, but this one is at the top of my list. The term “must see TV” is so overused, but in my opinion if any show ever fit the description it’s This Is Us. It wasn’t nominated for 10 Emmy Awards including Outstanding Drama Series for nothing.
I’ll admit, I have to be in the right headspace when I watch the show, and that’s not usually in the evenings when my household is in full-on family. You know what I mean…
“Mom, he hit me!”
“Ugh, I hate doing homework!”
“THAT for dinner again?”
“Hey babe, have you seen my blue button down shirt, I think it was in the laundry basket…”
“Mom, mom, mom, mom…. MOM!”
Nope, I cannot watch this show with chaos happening around me. I record it so it’s my “after the kids are at school, and mom has a few minutes to herself” viewing pleasure. But, I think that’s why America loves the Pearson family, because they’re all of us. They meet each of us where we are- young or old, in chaos or peace, in heartbreak or love. We can all relate. The household craziness and everything that goes with it is captured perfectly. I’m not sure a single episode in Season 1 didn’t leave me either crying, laughing, or both.
