Go Big is a book about how the guys of internet sensation Dude Perfect have followed their motto “go big” to see their dreams come true. It is authored by Cory Cotton, one of the six dudes from the team. In this book, you learn five tools you need in order to do what you love, go big, and be relevant in the world today, all without selling out yourself and to your faith. While the Hollywood lifestyle we tend to try to mold ourselves after may make it seem like an impossiblility, you learn that it’s not. If you follow the simple tools these dudes offer up, you can walk it out and see amazing things in your life as well.
I first found Dude Perfect on YouTube with two of my sons, ages 9 and 11. You can’t help but smile, laugh, and be amazed by these guys. I’m thankful that I can watch it with my boys and be confident they won’t be hearing foul language or exposed to things little eyes shouldn’t see.
When I heard that Cory Cotton had written this book, I knew it was something I needed to get my hands on. I wanted to read it myself, and hopefully tap into some of what these guys have. I love that their faith in Christ is the foundation that everything is built upon. While reading Go Big, I enjoyed how it was written as though I were simply sitting with this bunch of college age guys chatting about life, but staying away from a “me” type mindset. Go Big is fun because interactive with it’s readers, with scan codes for videos every few pages.
I truly appreciated that the end of this motivational book it focused upon the importance of giving back. Not to ourselves, but outside of ourselves. This is a principal that my husband and I live by and teach our children to do the same.
I dare you to read this book and watch these videos and not feel inspired! Are you ready to change your world with your God given passions, skills, and dreams?
