Yes, it’s that time again.
The beginning of the month, and that means a new to-do list.
The seasons are just about to change, we’re all going to readjust our gears a bit, so what better time than to start your own list if you don’t have one already? It’s so much easier than you think, and you feel so good when you can check off the goals you accomplish!
August In Review:
Personal
Get at least 7 hours of sleep most nightsYes! Well, at least most nights anywayEat more healthy, cut back on junk foodThis is always a work in progress for meRead my Bible more consistentlyThis is a constant goal- Schedule hair appointment No, still have to do this, my hair will thank me when I do
- Schedule Dr. checkup Um, no
- Schedule Dentist apt Another no
Obviously, I’ll need to make myself a bit more accountable to, well, myself this coming month about making those appointments.
Family
Be consistent with kids choresYes, definitely improving in this departmentRead out loud with the kidsWe stopped reading How to Train Your Dragon, because they just weren’t into it, but we’ve done lots of smaller book reading, which they loveDate night with DaveYes! Finally. Only one this entire Summer, but at least we finally got one in. It was only a movie and Starbucks afterwards, but the night out alone is always nice!Do at least two activities from our Summer Bucket ListWe actually did lots of things on our bucket list this month!- Tennessee vacation No, and this makes me sad. My husband had an unexpected surgery, which cancelled our TN vaca plans. Boo. He’s feeling better though, so it was worth it.
Gradually begin waking up earlier to adjust to school morning timesWe didn’t start this until about 10 days before school started, but we were up and ready by the first day of school!First day of schoolOff to a good start so far!

- Fix Lego table No, not yet, but it’s up there on my goal list for Sept now that the kids are all in school

- Go back to the gym consistently (especially since I’m still paying for my membership there, ugh)
Family
- Begin an allowance system with the kids chores
- Establish homework routine with the kids
- Read out loud with the little kids in the evenings
- Date night with Dave
- Football practices and games
Projects/Home/Blog/Business
- Fix Lego table
- Find two new recipes and try them
- Fix at least two freezer meals
- Buy the Harley, our great dane, a bigger crate & make him a vet appointment
- Stay consistent with blogging calendar by scheduling ahead of time
- Build SPARK blog party
- Begin consistently listing items on Ebay
- Complete 3-5 (or more) Etsy orders a week
Makes Me Laugh, Dreaming BIG
- Travel to Figi
- Loose 50 lbs (and look great in a bikini, heck even a one-piece, so I can travel to Figi with confidence)
- Travel to Scotland
- Become friends with a celebrity, as in, let’s go have coffee on Wednesday friends
- Build a ginormous home in Nashville
- Design a downloadable app that I can sell for 99ยข a become a millionaire (that’s probably how I’ll fund my Nashville mansion home)
- Acquire a British accent
