I try to monitor the time when they are on the computer. We go through checks once in a while through the history.

My son knows that if a site or someone makes him feel uncomfortable to come and tell me right away. He also knows not to give out any personal information. (Roxann)
My youngest are just six so I pretty much monitor them all the time.
I have talked with my grandkids about not sharing personal information online and I monitor all of their activity.
I have Family Safety set up on the computer so that I can monitor and restrict what sites they can go to.
We have time limits and transparency.

I just had a discussion with the girl I watch about being online safely and not talking to people you don't know. We discussed why in today's world it is even more important to filter who you are talking to and what information isn't safe to give out online and why.
