It’s October, so ladies, that means no matter how warm it still may be where you live, you have permission to pull out your favorite pair of jeans and boots, and rock your 2013 Fall Fashion!
I know I’m ready for a new look for the season, so I took a little shopping trip to Sears this past week, (with my Shop Your Way Rewards card in hand), to see about finding the perfect pair of denim for myself this Autumn.
I’ll be honest, I consider myself a bit of a challenge when it comes to dressing my shape, so if I can find a pair of jeans that fit well and have a look I feel confident in and priced for less, I will snatch them up in a heartbeat. I’m short, curvy, and depending on the brand I’m between a 14/16. Basically, I’m shaped like a lot of other moms out there. I don’t always love my figure, but I’ve always been told to dress in what fits and looks good, and not focus on the size. I knew that at Sears I’d have a variety of brands and price points to chose from so my chances of finding a pair of denim I was happy with were good.

Ultimately, I chose a pair of Levis® 512 Skinny Leg jeans. They’re just the right length for my 5’4″ height, and I especially like the dark wash. They have a bit of a stretch in the fabric, which works for my curves. The waist is a bit higher which helps to slim (no yucky “muffin tops” when you wear your denim at the right place on your waist).
I also found two tops that were on sale to pair with my jeans, a teal Joe Boxer short sleeve hoodie and a pretty coral 3/4 sleeve by BLEU.

I need my jeans to be versatile with my lifestyle, and with my wardrobe pieces I already have in my closet.
With my new jeans, I was able to put a look together that works for sports games on the weekend paired with a pair of flat tennis shoes.
For date night or church I pair my new coral top with my skinny jeans and a pair of wedge shoes.
And finally, and one of the reasons I chose skinny jeans, I can wear them with a casual for any weekday top and my favorite pair of brown knee high boots.
This is my favorite look of all for Fall.
Also, Sears has an option on their website to create a Shop Your Way Catalog, where you can upload your own photos for inspiration.
While I’ll never take the credit here as being a Fashion Blog, I’ll always enjoy sharing my “real mom” look with you and hope to bring you a bit of fashion inspiration your way.
And, for even more 2013 Fall Fashion, be sure to check out the Sears This is Style Pinboard, and find style on Twitter & Instagram @searsStyle and of course, facebook.
