Earlier this year we were discussing with our kids different Bible reading programs. My oldest two are in the youth group at our church, and they’ve given them a great plan to follow. However, my sixth grade son, who isn’t quite as structured as the oldest in following reading plans, asked if I could find him a Bible already “set up” for him to be able to read through it in a way he would understand.
When I had the opportunity to review this Bible in a Year, I knew right away it would be perfect for him.

I think it's important for children as they age to have a Bible reading plan line out for them so they can develop the habit of reading the Word. I didn't have this as a child and I have struggled to develop the habit of reading the Bible as an adult.

My kids have never had a Bible reading plan. It does seem like a good idea, though.
I think them knowing what the bible stands for and what's inside is more important than them actually reading it. I do think it's a good idea and a child's version will definitely help them relate.

I think it's very important for children to have a Bible reading plan. Without one, the children of our future will know little to nothing about God's plan for us. We aren't as consistent as we would like to be, but we will sit as a family and read with the kids. One of the most fulfilling experiences was when I walked in on one of my twin girls reading the bible to her classroom of stuffed animals!! 😉
