As parents, of course we want our children to have friends in their lives that are special. If you’re Christian parents like my husband and I, we all want our children to view Jesus as their friend and savior in a personal way. 
This special book My Friend Jesus by Kathryn Slattery (originally published as The Gospel for Kids)  introduces little ones to the gospels of Christ in a simple and clear way they can understand. Kids ages 5-10 in any denomination will enjoy the bright colorful illustrations and easy to read stories. Throughout the book, they will learn how Jesus is their greatest friend of all!

For my youngest son who is only five, my husband and I have taken turns reading a little bit here and there to him. It’s not a book you would necessarily sit down and read all at once. I’ve found it’s good to break up into little pieces so the kids can let the stories sink in.
My eight year old has had no trouble reading the book on his own, and has said that the story about how Jesus loved children is his favorite. 
I personally liked the sweet, simple salvation prayer in the end. It was like the icing on the cake, and solidifies what it means to a kid to have a friend like Jesus!

    I would like to win this book for my 5 year old daughter and 6 year old son. We homeschool and I think this would be a fantastic resource to add to our curriculum.

    I'd love to win this for my oldest daughter because she's showing a lot of interest in reading the bible and I think this would be a great start for her 1st grade reading level 😉
