Happy Memorial Day!
It’s the unofficial start of summer, and that means it’s the start of grilling and BBQ season. I have a great and extremely easy crock pot barbeque chicken recipe for you for those days you’re craving the smokey flavor of fresh off the grill BBQ but don’t want to brave the sweltering summer heat.
It’s one of my family favorites.
Ingredients
Bag of frozen boneless chicken breasts or tenders (for my family of 7 I use a whole 3lb bag but you can adjust the amount to your family size)
Large bottle of your favorite barbeque sauce (at least 24oz)
One small yellow onion chopped
Directions (easiest in the world)
Put chicken in the crock pot
Pour BBQ sauce over chicken until covered completely
Add chopped onion on top
Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 7-8- checking for tenderness (do not overcook or it will become too dry).
My boyfriend would love this recipe! It looks like it's a good alternative to grilling.
I love lazy recipes. Sometimes I really need them.
Awesome! Always good to have a frozen chicken to crockpot meal. 🙂
