Quality Recipes Need Quality Cookware! Why You’ll Love the Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan

May 28, 2014 by Molly

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I love letting YOU, my readers, know about great new products that I have actually tried and used, and know to be worth our time, effort and money. So when I had the opportunity to try out an Ozeri Green Earth frying pan, I knew it would not only be a great product for my kitchen, but yours too.  I’ll be honest, I don’t like to spend too much time in my kitchen, so when I do, I want my recipes to turn out great, and part of that process happens by using quality cookware.

Here are some specs that make the Ozeri Green Earth frying pan awesome:

  • Utilizing GREBLON — an ultra-safe ceramic coating from Germany, the Green Earth Pan by Ozeri is one of the world’s first frying pans to achieve non-stick perfection while remaining absolutely free of PTFE, PFOA and other harmful chemicals.
  • Conventional cookware and other ceramic cookware brands achieve their non-stick performance through a coating of PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene), a synthetic substance that has waxy properties. At very high temperatures, PTFE begins to decompose and release fumes which are documented to be lethal to birds and small pets, and which can be harmful to humans.
  • With the Green Earth Pan’s GREBLON ceramic from Germany, even under high temperatures, no harmful toxic fumes are ever released into the environment. This is because the Green Earth Pan utilizes a 100% ceramic coating inspired by nature – not a laboratory.
  • With better non-stick properties, the Green Earth Pan allows you to saute, fry, bake, boil and braise with as little as half the amount of oil normally used, and cleaning is a breeze.
  • The Green Earth Pan by Ozeri is made of the highest quality die-cast aluminum that allows for even cooking and fantastic browning without hot spots.
  • It boasts a magnetized bottom for rapid heat transfer on induction stoves, and a heat resistant silicone coated handle.
  • This version of the Green Earth Pan features a textured ceramic cooking surface. The elevations of the textured cooking surface create air pockets which distribute heat underneath food to enhance cooking performance.

The first time I used my Ozeri Green Earth frying pan, I decided I’d give it a real workout and cook one of my recipes for white bean enchiladas that has been notorious in the past for being sticky and difficult to wash out after being cooked. While I didn’t notice any difference in cooking time, I did notice that the food heated through evenly. I always thought that it was my stove not working properly, but now I believe it was my old pots & pans that were the culprit.

Following the product instructions, I just washed it in soap and water, using a regular dishrag, and the job was done. Since cooking this particular meal, I’ve used it several times again, and let it sit for a bit after use and before washing, just to see if that made a difference. It has been just as easy to wash clean then as it was the first time.

I’ve used my Ozeri frying pan several times now, and every time it’s worked great. I don’t use metal cooking utensils on it because I don’t want to scratch it. In fact, one fun thing that came with the Ozeri frying pan was a special felt cover that you place in your pan when you put it away to help prevent scratches from other cookware.

I’ve used the same pots and pans for the last several years, this was the first new piece I’ve added to my collection in a long, long time. I never really knew how much difference a good quality piece of cookware could make until I tried one.
If you’re looking for new cookware, I definitely recommend the Ozeri brand!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
