Over the years, my family has been blessed to travel together a lot, both within the US and beyond it’s borders. The best place we’ve all traveled together has been to Melbourne, Australia. We’ve actually been there twice, and have loved every minute of it. The kids talk about going back all the time, and I pray that we will be able to in the future.

While school is in session we don’t make travel plans, but our life is certainly still on-the-go. My afternoons consist of getting the little kids off the bus, picking up the high schooler from after school band practice, then turning back around to drop off the middle schooler at football for a few hours.

Sometimes I catch a dreamy look on their little faces when they don’t know I’m looking. I wonder if they’re thinking of their next travel adventure. Nashville? Disney? Paris? A voyage under the sea or a trip to the moon? Who knows where their lives will take them. If I won the $1,000 I think I’d take them back to Australia.
