Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Game- Inspiring Fun and Creativity! #InfinityHeroes

My boys love their superheroes! When we first heard that a new 2.0 version of Disney Infinity Games was coming out featuring their favorite MARVEL characters, of course they wanted it. We already have the first version of Disney Infinity, so I wasn’t 100% sure if we needed the new set or not. But you know how convincing kids can be, and so I decided we’d give it a try. Needless to say, they were happy little campers. I think my older teenage sons were just as excited about receiving the game, but of course being cool teens, they didn’t vocalize it quite as much as the younger two. There has, however, been a lot of volunteering to “help” their little brothers with their Disney Infinity game, but they’re not fooling me. My big boys are superhero fans through and through, and we all know you’re never too old for Disney! 

The boys have a Wii that they love, but for their Disney Infinity 2.0 we chose to use our Xbox360 as the gaming platform. The Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) Video Game Starter Pack includes-

Again, being owners of the previous game version I wanted to know what would be different about this game, as well as what is compatible between the two versions. So, my boys and I made a list of what we love about it. 

You read that last one correctly, they’ve been very inspired by the fun opportunity to play their favorite characters on the game. So much that they’ve pulled out their costumes and accessories to pretend to be Iron Man and Thor. We also have Hulk and Captain America costumes, so they’re saving their allowance to purchase those two Infinity Hero characters.


As a parent, I think it’s great that their imaginations can soar so high, and be inspired by this game. I’ve overheard them playing and pretending to go through the same missions that their gaming characters face. They’ve even created their own version of a real life Toy Box just like on the Disney Infinity game.

 

My eight year old Joshua has always loved playing with toys, and his new Thor, Iron Man, and Black Widow Infinity characters are no exception. He’s great about handing them back over when they want to play the game on the Xbox. Although, I’ve noticed it’s usually under the condition that they play two-player so he can play too.
