What’s at the top of your little one’s Christmas list this year? If you have an animal lover in the house like I do, then maybe you’ve heard of The Happy’s! My boys have been talking to me about these cute little animals for a while now. I’ve seen them in the stores, but I just wasn’t quite sure what they were all about. I knew they were made by Cepia, the makers of ZhuZhu Pets, but I wanted to know what made these toys different.
Well, let me tell you- Everything!
The Happy’s are adorable! They come in their own little boxes, already named (of course, kids can call them what they want) and with an interactive “treat”. There are puppies and kittens available.
My sons have the blue and purple Happy puppy called Thunder and he came with the wiggle treat. We also have the interactive ball that Thunder chases around.
Don’t be afraid that getting this toy to work is difficult, because it’s not. Once the batteries are in and you sync the toys to the animal (just by pressing a button) then it’s time to play! When you point the treat at the animal, it will do whatever the command on the treat is. For example, when the wiggle treat is pointed at Thunder, he wiggles around. Too cute!
I think more than the treat, my boys like watching their Happy puppy play with the chase & play ball. They roll the ball across the floor, and off Thunder goes, just like a real puppy would.
The dog makes sweet little puppy sounds, but the toy itself is not one of those loud mechanical toys. Yes, it does have a bit of a motorized sound because, well, it has a small motor, but it doesn’t distract from the toy.
The kids love how the puppy seems to really play with them. They can learn to spin, sit, pounce, and the more interactive Happy Treats you have, the more they can do.
This little pet is perfect for kids who might not be able to have a real one in the home, or even for those that do. Our Great Danes where quite curious about this little toy running around our dining room floor. They were happy to observe from the sidelines, and it was funny seeing our two giant dogs scatter when this little one headed their way.
One tip to keep in mind, make sure that you have a solid floor area that the kids can play with their Happy Pet on because carpet isn’t good for the toy.
