The Best Year Yet for Our Elf on the Shelf *Updated Daily* {Christmas 2015}

December 7, 2015 by Molly

Our Elf on the Shelf Ringo Bells is back for another Christmas full of silly tricks and pranks. You can find over 75 ideas I’ve used for our elf over the years HERE, and you can follow me on Instagram for daily updates.

This year, I followed a tutorial by All Mommy Wants on making your elf posable, so he’s much more versatile on the pranks and stunts he can pull.
Some of these ideas are a little more advanced, but trust me when I say anyone can pull them off. It’s normally late at night when I’m setting the elf up, so believe me, I don’t want to do anything that’s too difficult. It’s amazing what a few strategic pieces of duct tape and fishing line can help your elf do.

This page will be updated throughout the Chrsitmas season, and if you have questions about how I was able to make any of these happen, just leave me a comment and I’ll respond.

Elf as a Tightrope Walker. I used push pins in my walls and tied twine between them. A shish kabob skewer was his balancing pole. Because his arms are posable he could hold it, but if yours aren’t, then you can just skip the pole. Using fishing line, safety pinned it to his hat, and hung it from a hook already in our ceiling, and tied his feet to the twine.

A giant ornament hanging from our light fixture became a wrecking ball.

Jurassic friends helping decorate the tree.

He’s really quite vain, that Ringo Bells.

An obviously well thought out indoor Christmas light display.

Using a stencil, fake spray snow, and some shaving cream, Ringo became quite the graffiti artist on the kid’s bathroom mirror.

Nothing but net.
Okay, I didn’t like setting this one up because it was too high on the ladder for me. But the kids thought it was great. A piece of duct tape holds the elf and the ball in place.

Uh oh, elf, you had too many cookies and too much milk last night. Shame on you.

Looks like he’s gotten himself pretty stuck inside that ornament.

Do you want to build a snowman?

You’ve done it now elf, you’ve made the birds angry!

Who loves roasted marshmallows?

The elf knows Great Danes love giant candy canes too. Merry Christmas Harley!

Plants VS Elf Zombies Garden Warfare

Have fun, skate everything!

The kids were disappointed they couldn’t find the elf, until is was time to get the lunch boxes from the fridge before school that morning.

The Friday Star Wars the Force Awakens was released in the theaters!

Just doing a little mountaineering, sort of. Christmastreering?
