Have you seen the kaleidoscope of designs on the new Diet Coke IT’S MINE glass bottles yet? They’re a rainbow of colors, and the coolest thing is, no two bottles are alike.
I used wood Coca-Cola crates around my house for decorating, and often use the glass bottles in them too. When I first spotted these at my local Walmart, I knew they’d be beautiful in a Spring vignette. Add some flowers to the empty glass bottles, arrange them, and you’ve got a colorful and cheery display.
However, I wanted to take my idea a step further, and use the flowers and bottles, and create a unique drink station for an outdoor party, featuring the prettiest Diet Coke bottles I could find.
Making the drink station was easy, here’s what you need:
An unfinished wood crate
A metal throw away baking dish to fit inside the crate
Empty metal veggie cans (a variety of sizes look good when displayed)
Hot glue
Painters tape
Spray Paint
Ice
Diet Coke bottles (empty & full)
Flowers
Step 1:
Spray paint your box and tin cans, covering any parts you don’t want painted with painters tape.
Step 2:
When the paint is dry, place the tin baking dish into the bottom of the crate. This holds the ice.
Next, hot glue the bottom of your empty bottles to the metal can. Don’t worry, they pop off easily when you’re finished.
Step 3:
Arrange your cans and glasses towards the back of the crate, and add flowers.
Then, add your full Diet Coke bottles and pour ice into the crate.
Step 4:
Click and save this image I made, and print it on card stock or paper.
Hot glue it to a shiskkabob stick, and add it to one of the glasses for the display.
Your drink station is ready to go!
The colorful glass bottles & flowers, and wooden crate filled with ice are look so much better than a cooler, and your guests will love your masterpiece!
