Fresh From Florida: Cheddar-Bacon Florida Sweet Corn

April 30, 2018 by Molly

This post was sponsored by Fresh From Florida as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central, however, all opinions expressed are my own.

Springtime in Florida is one of my favorite times of year. It’s not too hot and definitely not too cold. The humidity is relatively low, and the evening are just perfect for backyard BBQ’s with friends & family.

We had some friends and their kiddos over just last week, and when I was prepping my menu for what to serve, I knew I wanted to include some fresh veggies. A quick peek at the Fresh From Florida Recipe Page and I was able to choose a delicious grilled sweet corn recipe.

Florida sweet corn is in season and just right in the Spring. It’s easy for me to remember that because we saw so many vegetable stands selling Florida Sweet Corn when we road-tripped to Disney during Spring Break.

We weren’t lucky enough to head to Disney this year, but I was able to find my sweet corn at my local Publix, and it was just as delicious. Remember to look for the “Fresh From Florida” label at your store, and you’ll know you’re getting a quality product.

HERE’s the original link to the cheddar-bacon sweet corn recipe I re-created from the Fresh From Florida website.

It’s important for me to include fresh & local produce in my meals when I can. This way, I know my family is getting the most nutrients from fresh product, it just tastes great, and supporting your local economy is always a good idea.

Ingredients:
4 ears Florida sweet corn
Sour cream
Cheddar cheese
Bacon

How to Make Grilled Cheddar-Bacon Florida Sweet Corn

• Shuck your corn and put it directly on a hot grill.
• Cook for about 10 minutes, making sure you rotate it often, then remove from heat.

It’s Spring, so right now you’re going to find Florida bell peppers, blueberries, sweet corn, and watermelon in season, just to name a few.

On the Fresh From Florida website you can find a full list of the types of produce that are in season every month.

Along with the abundance of quick & healthy recipes (a few of which have become my family favorites over the years) you’ll also find several videos featuring the most fresh Florida produce.

I already know this recipe is fantastic, but do you want to up your grilled sweet corn game even more?
