If you follow me on Instagram then you already know this, but I will always recommend any book by Becky Wade. I’ve read them all, some a few times, and listened to as many as I can on Audible. Her newest release, Falling for You, is now in my top 5 favorites of hers.
This is the second book in the Bradford Sisters series (actually, there’s a novella even before them called Then Came You). I do recommend reading them in order.
We first meet Willow Bradford as a baby in Then Came You. And then, we get another glimpse of her in True to You, where we realize that she most definitely has a story & history we want to hear with handsome quarterback Corbin Stewart. In Falling for You, we finally get their story.
As is the usual with Becky Wade books, this novel has it all, and in just the right amounts. Humor, suspense, emotions, very steamy but clean romance (imagine that), and of course faith.
I enjoyed the depth and layers of each character, and I couldn’t pick a favorite between Corbin and Willow. Usually there’s one that I like more than the other, but they’re both so well written, you can’t help but love them both. The supporting characters are equally as lovely (I can’t wait for Britt’s book). Corbin’s niece Charlotte is precious. Without her curiosity and drive to solve a 40 year old missing persons case, they may not have ever reconnected. So, thanks Charlotte!
And what would a Becky Wade book be without a few funny and quirky secondary characters? I wish Grandma & Clint could meet the ones from My Stubborn Heart, it would be a blast.
It makes me happy to be able to recommend a book to friends that really is just that good. It’s sweet, and unpredictable, and clean, yet very romantic and real. This author doesn’t sugar coat real life situations just because it’s an inspiration read. She dives right in, but in a way that is very respectable.
Falling for You isn’t the kind of book you can “just read one more chapter in” because when you finish that chapter, you want to keep going! This is a bingeable book, an “up till 2 AM” read.
I give it a full 5 stars, and definitely recommend the entire series.
