Treasure Hunting… Yard Sale Goodies

January 31, 2011 by Molly

This weekend was BEAUTIFUL!!
The kids and I spent a few hours Saturday hunting for yard sales, but sadly there just weren’t many around.
We did score some pretty awesome finds at the ones we did hit though. J-man even scored a few free goodies, like a Gi-Joe he gave to his little brother, and a Star Wars action figure (can’t remember who the character is). Lucky he’s so cute!

So, here’s how it went, I spent a total of $18, which is honestly more than I normally do on a good sale day, but if I figure how much all of this would have been retail, I’d say we did pretty good (in fact, I’m pretty sure we spent more at Burger King’s breakfast for all of us that morning)…

Here we go…
Spiderman dvd trilogy $6 for all
Legally Blonde & Cheaper by the Dozen dvds $4 for both

Like new Doodlebops Moe drums and Deedee guitar $2 for both (throw back to J-man’s toddler days, now loved by little man)
Cool glass vase for my girl’s new beta fish .50 cents

Two Christian novels $1 for both

A brand new with tags Star Wars backpack $1 (too bad it’s that creepy sith guy:)

My favorite find of the day… like new Nick & Nora sock monkey pj’s for the princess! Only .50
cents!!

Well, my other favorite find of the day… vintage glass tree topper $3 still in it’s box. I know it’s January, but I WILL buy these any time in the year to add to my vintage Christmas collection. And I won’t even forget where I put it 🙂
