dENIZIN from Levis. Not your Mamma’s jeans!

August 14, 2011 by Molly

I’m a busy mom of five. I don’t often make time in my day to browse around the malls, and it’s basically torture to drag all the boys there anyway. During a typical week for me, being fashionable is nice, but so is being comfortable. I’m not a big fan of shopping for clothes for myself because I literally have to try everything on. I’m very selective about what items I own and wear. Once I find a brand that I know fits me well and can hold up to my lifestyle of playing with my kids, housework, grocery shopping, doctor and dentist appointments, church meetings, and occasional date nights with my husband, then I will become a regular customer.

When I had the opportunity to try the new line of dENIZEN jeans from Levi Strauss & Co that launched at Target stores in the US in July, I admit that I was skeptical. I told the company I’d be happy to try them, and if I loved them I’d be a customer for life. You see, I have an especially hard time finding jeans that fit me well. I’m only 5’4”, so typically “short” jeans are too short, and “regulars” are too long. Also, after having five kids and not becoming best friends with the gym, I’m also what I like to call curvy. Some of you other moms know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s hard to find a fit that works well for my legs, hips, stomach, and waist all at the same time.
I chose the dENIZEN regular length Totally Shaping Mid-Rise Boot Cut in a dark wash. They sit just below waist, with a styish boot cut leg opening. They have a tummy slimming panel, and high stretch fabric. I was honestly shocked at how comfortable and stylish they are. At first, they felt a bit snug on my thighs, but the stretch fabric quickly did it’s magic, and they felt great. I love that the waist is a mid-rise, so I don’t have to worry about flashing anyone when I’m leaning over to help my toddler. I have already worn and washed them a few times, and they still look as good as they did the first day. My only regret is that I ordered the regular length, so I’ll need to have them hemmed a bit. Hey, I was being optomistic and hoping they’d be ok. When I wear them with heels, they’re perfect, but with flats or flip flops, I’m stepping on the back. I do enjoy the fact that they are stylish enough for dinner at a fancy-shmancy restaurant or wear to church with a nice top, and that they are casual and comfortable enough to take the kids to the park in. I honestly do love these jeans. I’ll definitely be purchasing more in another color wash.

Now that I have you convinced that these are great jeans, before you hop in your car and head to your closest Target, here are all the other details you need to know. These are available for women in sizes 2-18 in several different styles. Not only that, but dENIZEN jeans are aren’t just for women, they’re also available for men, girls, and boys. They’re prices range from $17.99 to $29.99 and can be found in stores as well as Target.com.

As part of the dENIZEN jeans launch, the company is inviting people to join in the conversation, “Live in dENIZEN jeans” on their FACEBOOK PAGE. Also, for a limited time, fans who “like” the facebook page will receive a special thank you in the form of rebates, gift cards, or even a free pair of jeans.

More info about dENIZEN jeans is available at dENIZEN.com and Target.com/denizen.

This pair of jeans was provided to me by dENIZEN for review, and my opinions stated here are always 100% honest

I just claimed my $3 rebate on these jeans and will definitely be heading over to Target to get a pair. They seem so multipurpose which would be great for me. I'm stopping in from the Alexa Blog hop and also wanted to let you know about the BabyBond Nursing Cover giveaway that I am currently hosting.
