When I was first given the opportunity to review Bible Stories for Preschoolers from Tyndale House Publishers, I will be completely honest, I almost passed on the chance just because I didn’t really like illustrated cover. Silly, I know. Isn’t there an unwritten rule somewhere that says we should never judge a book by it’s cover? Anyway, I’m glad that I wasn’t that ridiculous, and accepted review offer, because it’s truly one of the best preschool Bibles we’ve ever had! And to think, because I wasn’t impressed by the illustrations I almost let is slip by!
This Bible was written by a team of preschool church experts, and they’ve done an excellent job making several stories come to life. While it doesn’t hold the attention of my three year for long, my five year old loves it! He won’t let me stop at just one story. Although I’m not a huge fan of the illustrations, they are very colorful and my sons do like them, and that’s what’s most important.
The stories are engaging and easy to read and understand. I also enjoy the Family Time segment at the end of each story. Family Time offers simple discussion questions, easy activities that coordinate with the story the little ones just heard, and a bible verse for them to memorize. In my opinion, not only should you have one of these at home, but this Bible would be perfect in any Sunday school preschool class.
Over the years, we’ve had several bibles for youngsters in our home, and I truly wish this one had been around 14 years ago when my daughter was little.

I have always loved David and Goliath. When my boys were little they would play "David and Goliath". It was so cute.
My favorite Bible story is the very first one! The story of creation in Genesis… and right through the other great stories in Genesis.
My first thought was the one you ended with… that I wish this would have been available when my daughter was at the preschool "read to me" age.
