Have you ever been so excited about something you wanted to tell everyone? I mean shake them, and make them look you in the eye so they know your serious while you jump up and down screaming? Picture being called out on the Price is Right. Or if they made this book series into movies, think Twilight crazy! I’d definitely own a Team McPherson t-shirt.
Okay, maybe that’s taking it a bit far, but you get my point. I’ve read several novel series, and I have to say that the three award winning Timber Ridge Reflections series by Tamera Alexander are currently in my top 5 favorite books. If you’ve ever read and loved Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, then these are right up your alley.

They are romantic historical fiction set in Colorado territory during the 1870’s.  Throughout the series, you meet characters that make you think of them after you put the book down. You want to know what happens next as they make their way through life in a hard but beautiful land, trusting in God, and learning to love.

Although I accidentally read them out of order, starting with the second book, then going back to the first, it was alright. The reasons I even bought this book were actually a bit coincedental. The main character is Molly who moves to Timber Ridge, Colorado. Well, obviously the name caught my attention right off, but also the fact that I live in a area called Timber Ridge, although not in Colorado. I do love that area of the country though. More than those reasons, I connected right away with Molly’s story, because it’s similar to mine. I laughed and cried with her throughout the book.

Tamera Alexander is a wonderful author, I love her writing style. She likes to take you to the very end of the book, and then a huge “Ah-ha!” moment happens that wraps it all together. You can check out her website for more information about her and her novels, as well as where to purchase them.

    So one I do remember and loved was the Harry Potter series!

    this looks really good! I think I'll look into finding these at my library or on Amazon. thanks! my favorite series so far are The Mitford Series. they are about a small-town preacher. totally a cozy cute feel-good series!

    As I said in a previous comment on another post, My favorite book series is The Anne of Green Gables books. Probably always will be!

    My favorite book series is *anything* that has to do with Amish fiction. I see another commenter mentioned Cindy Woodsmall.. excellent series! I also like Brunstetter, Lewis, Clipton, Gray, Wiseman… on and on the list goes and most of them turn into series. 🙂
