About this book:

My Thoughts:
Although my daughter is just past the target age for this series, she still browsed through it. She came to me afterwards, giggling, and told me that she wishes she’d had a book like that when she was in middle school, it would’ve answered a lot of her questions in an easy and comfortable way.
The Beauty Book is written with a tween girl in mind, even down to the language and sentence context. It reminds me of the teen magazines we used to pour over, with little quizzes and thoughts to ponder. Only instead of filling a girl with an image of herself that the world wants, filled with self doubt and comparisson, instead it speaks a message of God’s truth about her solidly based in scripture.
The Beauty Book covers many, many issues and subjects that a young girl begins to experience as she enters the next chapter of her life. From hygiene to her bodily changes, from clothes to self respect.
I highly recommend every young lady gets her hands on this book!

    I talk to my kids all the time about the fact that they are a child of God. my kids are young, yet, and I'm sure that my influence will have to become more forward. but knowing that you are special and a child of God is really a good foundation for life. I'd give this to my kids, I think, since my oldest is almost 6.

    I would give this book to my granddaughter. I always remind her that everyone is 'beautiful' in God's eyes and we all have our own special gifts.

    If I won this book I would give it to my 11 year old daughter and then hold onto it for my 8 year old. My daughter is the one who has initiated most of our conversations about the changes she is experiencing. These talks came about because girls in school were throwing out their experiences and mine had major questions. I feel blessed that she feels comfortable asking me even the most "uncomfortable" questions. She also knows that she can go to the other women in her life and get answers too. We have talked about these changes being part of God's plan for her and only he knows what she will look like as she gets older.

    If I win this book I will read it and write a message in it. Then I will give it to a cousin (she is a tween) ask her to read, the write a message and then pass it along to another female family member… that way we have a family heirloom!
