Mod Podge Rocks! Decoupage Your World by Amy Anderson

June 25, 2012 by Molly

Whether you’re involved a lot or a little in the world of crafting, you’re bound to come across the fabulous blog Mod Podge Rocks! along the way.

The new book by blogger and crafter Amy Anderson, Mod Podge Rocks! Decoupage Your World will change your view of decoupage. Seriously, this isn’t your mamma’s craft book! You won’t find any “granny” projects (as my teen daughter likes to call outdated craftiness) in here. Nope, here only trendy, fun, and EASY to do ideas abound.

In true form of her awesome blog, Amy has taken over 40+ ideas and how-to’s and put them in one easy to read, colorful, and truly inspiring book.

I never knew there was a “right” way to apply decoupage, but after reading this book, I learned that I wasn’t doing it quite right, which was why I never got the exact results I wanted. After reading through, I feel like I could take on just about any Mod Podge project and have a result I’ll love.
Full color photos and tutorials fill the pages, with projects ranging everywhere from home decor, fabrics, holidays, jewelry, and more! One of my very favorite projects in Mod Podge Rocks! Decoupage Your World is the vintage suitcase makeover. Oh wow!
Another aspect that made me happy about this book was that all the projects are practical. You’d actually use them in your home, or give away as a gift. There are no tacky ideas that will eventually end up in the donation box. Every idea is unique and usable.
In fact, this book was the inspiration for my latest Mod Podge project, the easy key chain I made.

Whether you consider your self a decoupage novice, expert, or somewhere in between, I strongly suggest you get your hands on a copy of Mod Podge Rocks! Decoupage Your World!

I have been working with Mod Podge quite a bit lately and am amazed at all the fun things that can be done with it. I think it would be a fun to do a little Julie/Julia challenge with this book and work through it, one project at a time.
