Do your children participate in the annual Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day? Or Do they just love all things Dr. Seuss like my kids do? If so, why not add a little more fun to their day by letting them dress like one of the most beloved Dr. Seuss characters of all time, The Cat in the Hat! Last year, I made Thing One and Thing Two shirts, but this year, we found a child size Cat in the Hat red and white stovepipe hat at Anytime Costumes.
This week my first grader Josh had to do his first ever book report on his favorite Dr. Seuss book, and present it to his class. He chose the book I Can Read With My Eyes Shut and made a little project board to go with it, along with a Truffula Tree. However, to top off his presentation, he proudly wore his red and white hat, and scored himself an A+ on his report!
the Hat. And, because it’s one size fits all, his brothers could wear it come October or for next years Read Across America Day as well. If you’d like the entire Cat in the Hat costume, no worries, because Anytime Costumes carries those as well!
