You may remember a few weeks ago I mentioned in this post that I was working around the house on some major Spring cleaning, with my ultimate goal being to get organized once and for all. Well, after a very successful yard sale, a drop off at Goodwill, and some especially beautiful Fellowes Bankers Boxes for storage and organization, I think I can say that I’ve made a lot of headway towards my goal!
I think that when you have lovely, and especially functional pieces to help with organization, it definitely helps you stay inspired to complete your goal.
The hardest room I had to clean through was my art room. I have so many craft supplies that I needed to get a grip on. Sound familiar crafters? Yes, well, I used my bankers boxes to get everything neat and tidy. I especially loved that I am able to store my extra canvases, which can be bulky and less than attractive sitting on a shelf. I was able to store around 12 canvases in one box, and with the clear window, I can see exactly what I have.

As I cleaned through my home, here are a few of the ways I used my bankers boxes for storage and organization-
- Art canvases
- Christmas books
- Christmas gift bags
- Books to be traded on Paperback Swap
- Christmas and Birthday gift stockpile
However, there are so many more uses for these storage boxes. I put together a small list of a few more ideas and ways to use them for your home organization needs-
- Seasonal clothing
- Seasonal shoes
- Next size up clothing for kids
- Spare linens
- DVD’s
- Video Games
- To-Be-Read (TBR) Books
- As a memory box for special papers, ticket stubs, etc
- Photos
- Important Document storage
- Small toys
- Sentimental baby items
- Cleaning supplies
- Extra kitchen pantry stockpile items
- Extra paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper
- Individually wrapped after school snacks like fruit snacks or chips
- Craft paints and other supplies
- Patterns
- Fabric scraps
- Scrapbook supplies
- Hats
- Office supplies such as printer paper, files, pens & pencils, etc
- School memory boxes for kids special papers and art work
- Sports equipment such as gloves, balls, rackets, etc
- Cleaning supplies

These boxes sound like they were perfect for your storage needs.
Boxes around here are dangerous = the kids think they serve one purpose…to pull them around in!
