It’s Already Time for Back to School Shopping, and I’ll be Headed to Kohl’s!

July 26, 2013 by Molly

Although it seems like the kids just got out of school for summer vacation, for us, school already starts back in less than a month. This year, my youngest will start kindergarten, so all five of my kiddos will officially be in school. As exciting as that is, it also means lots and lots of back to school shopping. Not only for supplies, but also for school clothes. Yes- school wardrobes for five kids. Ouch.
However, as a frequent shopper of Kohl’s, I already know that I’ll be stopping there first for deals on quality clothes for the kids. I’ll have to dress kids ages 5-16, and I know that Kohl’s can be a one-stop-shop for our essentials.

This upcoming week, with a gift card in hand as well as some Kohl’s Cash® that I’ve racked up from prior purchases, I’ll begin my shopping adventure.

First, to determine which sizes and items I would need to purchase this year, I made the boys (and believe me, they hated this part) go through their closets and drawers with me to see what they’ve outgrown. Then we made a keep and a donate pile. I knew that my boys have grown a bit over the summer, but I was shocked at how much!

As you can see, some new pants will definitely be a must.

I’m happy about our donate piles, that we’ll be able to give them away to those who can use them.

Now that I’ve determined who needs what and in which sizes, I’ve made a shopping list to prepare the whole family
for the coming school year.

Kohl’s knows Moms need to be
savvy shoppers when planning for the school year, and believes
back-to-school shopping doesn’t have to cost your family a lot. Kohl’s
offers a variety of dorm furnishings and quality fashion essentials but
also provides savings aimed to give shoppers the brands they love at
incredible values. Kohl’s Cash® coupons and Kohl’s Charge card discounts
can be used in conjunction with sales events to maximize savings, so
from your toddler to your teen, you can have the entire family looking
stylish with budget to spare.

Stay tuned, I’ll be posting the results next week of my grand shopping experience. My fingers are crossed that I can even get the boys to try on one more pair of jeans this year!
