EASIEST Bacon Wrapped Roasted Asparagus {Thanksgiving Recipe}

November 18, 2013 by Molly

If you’re looking for the perfect and easiest side dish for Thanksgiving, or well really any time of year, you have to try my husbands version of the easiest bacon wrapped asparagus you can make. Yes, I said my husband. He’s the chef around here, not me. I stay out of the kitchen on Thanksgiving, it’s his domain. Be jealous. Anyway, this recipe is so easy, it’s almost like cheating because we use a box of fully cooked bacon. So easy I tell you. And delicious. And easy. Did I mention delicious and easy? Okay, you get it.

Ingredients-

Bunch of asparagus
Box of FULLY COOKED bacon (we use Hormel)
1-2 cloves fresh garlic
Extra virgin olive oil

Baking Directions-

Preheat oven to 350
Chop 1-2 cloves of garlic
Drizzle olive oil in bottom of baking dish, and add garlic cloves to bottom of dish.
Wash & trim asparagus, lightly coat spears in olive oil.
Place spears into baking dish, roast for 5-7 minutes
Remove asparagus from the oven
Wrap fully cooked bacon strips around the spears individually
Place spears in single layer on cookie sheet
Return to oven and bake 5-7 minutes or until bacon is crispy
Serve warm and enjoy!

Roast asparagus first in olive oil & garlic 5-7 minutes

Then wrap with fully cooked bacon

Bake 5-7 minutes in single layer on cookie sheet

Serve warm & enjoy!

I love asparagus by itself but EVERYTHING is better wrapped in bacon. Thanks for sharing!
