Nutella M&M’s® Pizza and Sweet Cinnamon Popcorn Recipes

With football season behind us, we actually have evenings where the entire family is home. You would think keeping a family of seven entertained is tricky, but promise them snacks and a movie night one evening and they’re good to go.

Thankfully for those of us like myself in charge of movie night planning, Walmart has made the task easier for me. From November 11- 24, select Walmart stores have pallets in their featuring Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn, M&M’s
®, and a selection of $5 Warner Brothers DVDs and $7.88 Blu Rays (of note, the movie titles available are intended for an audience over twelve years old). For my family, our favorites of the selection are The Blind Side, The Dark Knight, Braveheart, The Notebook, and Forrest Gump.

Inspired by the M&M’s® and popcorn, I knew exactly what delicious treat I’d make for the ultimate move night snack this week- M&M® Cookie Pizza paired with Sweet Cinnamon Popcorn!

Here’s the cookie pizza recipe for you, and it’s so much easier than you might think-

While your oven is preheating, press the sugar cookie into a pizza shape. Make sure to leave about and inch around the edge of the pizza pan because the cookie will expand when baking.

Once the edges are baked to a pretty golden (about 16 minutes at 350°), remove from the oven and let it cool before the fun part- adding toppings!

To mimic sauce on a regular pizza, the hazelnut spread is perfect and yummy! Once the cookie is cook, just spread it evenly across the top.

It was at this point, I started having curious onlookers in my kitchen. I had to shoo them away a time or two, because they kept sneaking the M&M’s®.

Next, generously add powdered sugar to cover the top.

Now, now, I let the family come in and give me suggestions about how to add the last and best layer, the M&M’s®.
I was going to make an entirely different pattern on the top, but I was out ruled by those who thought I should shape them into circles to resemble pepperonis. I even wanted to just use the red ones to make it look the most authentic, but heaven forbid I let the poor other colors be left out.

Once that was finished, it was time for the popcorn. This sweet cinnamon popcorn might be the easiest recipe I’ve ever shared on here, and one that I’ve made for the family tons of times.

I use it because it’s quick it tastes incredible.

You simply pop the Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn in the microwave. After you remove it and you can open the bag, dump it all into a paper lunch bag. Depending on the amount of popcorn, you may need to divide it and do this next step twice.

Anyway, dump it into the bag and sprinkle about a 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of powdered sugar into it. Hold it tight, and shake, shake, shake. This will coat your popcorn with the flavor, giving you the perfect sweet, salty, and buttery combo.

Normally, I like food to stay at the table, but for movie night I make an exception and the family can plop down on the couch with their treats.

Food is a love language to my family, as well as the time we spend together. When they see me taking the extra time in the kitchen to make a special treat that I know they’ll love, it speaks to them.

And if I’ve learned anything over the years, when it’s all said and done, the most important part of any movie night is making the family feel special and loved.
