A Star for Me- Beautiful New Children’s Christmas Book {Giveaway}

December 5, 2014 by Molly

But Christmas means o-so-much more, did you know?
It started in Bethlehem so long ago
When God send a fit down to Earth from above-
A blessing so great it was made of His love…

And so A Star for Me by Jean Fischer begins. This Christmas story written for kids holds a timeless and most precious message for us all to learn and remember during this beautiful season.
A Star for Me is about Oliver, a sweet little camel who is part of a traveling caravan following a very bright star. Along his journey, Oliver discoveres that his life is full of blessings, many of which young children can directly relate to, like ears that wiggle and bellies that jiggle. Your little one is sure to get a good laugh as the story goes on and on, with clever rhymes and funny phrases. My boys like the page where Oliver is complaining about being hungry and wanting cookies and candy, and his mom telling him other food is more healthy. They say it sounds just like something their mom would say 🙂

At the end of Oliver’s journey, he meets baby Jesus- the best blessing of all!

*ages 4-8
*Story encourages children to count their blessings at Christmas
*Includes beautiful star ornament!
*A new bedtime tradition that leads kinds to the manger!

A Star for Me comes with a glittery gold star ornament for your own Chrismtas tree. It’s written so that as a family, you can read a little each day if you’d like. As Oliver learns about God’s blessings on each new page, young readers are prompted to talk about their own blessings and then move the star ornament a bit higher on the tree each night. On Christmas Day, children can move the star all the way to the top of the tree and remember the greatest blessing of all—Jesus!

A Star for Me is available to purchase on Amazon.

You can also enter to win your own copy!

What are you or your own children especially thankful for this Christmas season?
