What’s on your Grown-Up Christmas list this year?
Maybe you’d like Santa to bring you some upgrades around the house, particularly new floors?
I know I would! I’ve been browsing the flooring ideas at GoHaus, and definitely have some wish list ideas I’d love write to Santa and let him know about.
My letter would probably go something like this….
Dear Santa,
Remember when we carpeted our floors about a million years ago because we had a baby around who was just learning to walk? While it’s served it’s purpose, I’d really like to upgrade from the carpets this coming year. As you know, the boys are turning into teenagers who are more rough around the house. With all those big feet, the floors definitely take a beating. So, because I’ve been so good, and kept the house (mostly) clean this year, I have some ideas I’d like you to consider.
Santa, I think that for my craft room (which also doubles as the laundry room), any of the engineered wood flooring would be perfect. It’s beautiful just like real wood, but at a better price point! The Islay Fog floor is gorgeous, and it would be so durable when I’m working on those big projects I love so much. The grey is just my style, light but not too light. I think it would definitely help spark my creativity.

And of course, there are the two living rooms. These need to be a little darker, and stylized, something unique that will go with any look. They need to be easy and affordable to install because the spaces are so big. They also need to be durable for all those boys to do their thing on. Whether that’s playing basketball in the house (like they’re not supposed to) or veg in front of their game console for hours, it’s got to be versatile for the whole family. That’s why I think the the Corteccia flooring is perfect. It’s so pretty and unique, it would make it’s own statement in my space.

And last Santa, are the bathrooms to consider. I’m not even going to start on how easy they have to be to keep clean. GoHaus also has the option for porcelain & ceramic tiles that look great too.
The Cairo tile is large and has impressive water absorption rate, so it’s great for bathrooms. Of course, it’s not all about what I like, and I think the husband might prefer the refined look of the Bourdain Cafe. It’s a bit traditional looking, but would actually give our master bathroom a very high end look, so yeah, maybe that’s the one.

Thank you for your consideration Santa. I know it’s a busy time of year, but just in case you get the chance, I’d be happy with any (or all) of these pretty and practical upgrades for my home this year!
P.S. If you see anything else at GoHaus that you think would be a good fit, for example, possibly the Aragon flooring for my kitchen, that would be fantastic too!

Those examples look awesome! A hardwood flooring would be really great, it's easier to maintain than a carpeted one.
I would love to have that Cairo tile in my bathroom. Really high class look!
