I’m a firm believer that the earlier we introduce books to children, the more likely their chances are at being strong readers later in life. There may or may not be studies out there to prove my theory, but from my own personal experience as a mom, that’s exactly how I’ve seen it work. Board books are the perfect books to begin with for little hands, even for babies.
The two newest board books I’ve given to my one year old nephew, Night Night, Mommy and Night Night, Daddy are just right for him. He can hold them and (with my help) turn the pages easily. The illustrations are bright and colorful and so adorably whimsical.
The sweet rhymes are soothing, and have even make the older kids giggle when they’ve heard me read these to him.
