Have you seen the movie Leap Year? I mean, it’s not a new one, it came out in 2010. From what I’ve read, the critics hated it, which funny enough is almost a guarantee that it’s one I’ll actually enjoy. Why is that, and who are the “critics” anyway?
Granted, it’s totally a chick flick, and those aren’t usually my thing, but this one made me laugh. Plus, it’s set in the beautiful nation of Ireland, so until I can check that country off my bucket list, a movie is about a close as I’ll get.
For a little over a year now, a group of fun bloggers and I have participated in #MovieChallengeMonday, hosted by C’mon Get Crafty.
We decide on a topic, genre, or specific movie to use for inspiration and everyone gets free reign to create something wonderful!
This month’s challenge was. . . . “LUCK! Everyone was allowed to choose their own favorite film as long as it was inspired by the challenge word.

So, I chose Leap Year.
The movie is about Anna Brady, who goes to Ireland to propose to her longtime, but thoughtless finance. According to Anna’s dad, Irish tradition says that woman can propose on leap day, and that men cannot refuse. Naturally, her plans run amiss and she meets the handsome Declan, an Irish tavern owner and innkeeper.
And, from here I’m sure you can guess how the movie ends.
In honor of my favorite character, I decided to create a pretend menu from Caragh’s Tavern (the tavern he runs in the small town of Dingle). It’s totally free for you to download and print, and looks super cute with your St. Patrick’s Day or Irish decor.
And if you’re a fan of the movie already, you’ll get a kick out of the names of the items on the menu.
I was actually inspired by one of my favorite restaurants here in Florida called McGuires Irish Pub. Ya’ll.
This place is soooo good! If you ever find yourself in the Florida Panhandle, look it up and go!

Like all my others, I created this printable using PicMonkey.
I love their free features, and their price for a paid subscription is very affordable and totally worth it.

Now, let’s see what everyone else was inspired to create for this month’s #MovieMondayChallenge!!
