Know what happens March 2?
The Lorax movie hits theaters!
I'm so excited about it, probably more than my kids. Growing up, reading a Dr. Seuss book was a tradition many nights before bed at our house. Now that I have little ones of my own, his books have become a favorite in our home again.

March 2 is also Read Across America in honor of the real Dr. Seuss' birthday. You can find out more about that at Seussville.com
My kindergartener Joshua came home this past Friday and told me that they were having Dr. Seuss week at school this week. He has a list of daily fun things he can wear to school.

  • Monday- Wacky Socks
  • Tuesday- Dress like his favorite Dr. Seuss character
  • Wednesday- Dress Wacky
  • Thursday- Wear PJ's to school
  • Friday- Wear his school kindergartener
Sounds fun, I'm totally game!
I've got a cool idea for his character day this Tuesday, and I'll give you the tutorial then as well (and I don't sew, so it's gonna be super easy).

In the meantime, I'm going to share some fun, fantastical, wonderful ideas to get the week off to a good start!

  4. We are doing a Dr. Seuss week over at my blog this week. It has been so much so far. And we plan to make those truffula trees on Thursday. Come check out my blog tomorrow to see some cute Thing 1 and Thing 2 stuff.
And BTW I am pretty excited about the movie on Friday. And to think before this week I was NOT a big Dr. Seuss fan.
