*WINNER ANNOUNCED* A Pumpkin Prayer

October 8, 2011 by Molly

I love this season. As a family, to enjoy the beautiful weather and cooler temperatures, we find as many outdoor activities we can with the kids. Pumpkin patches, hay and corn mazes, making smores on a fire, kick ball in the backyard, carving pumpkins. A little later in the season, we’ll rake the leaves into piles so the kids can jump in them.
A Pumpkin Prayer by Amy Parker, illustrated by Kirsten Richards is a sweet board book for toddlers. The precious little mice and the beautiful illustrations in fall colors, say a prayer of thanks for the season and the changes it brings. You can preview a portion of the book HERE.
I loved the simplicity and the message of the book. It’s perfect for little ones ages 1-5. Little Man loved it, and asked me to read it approximately a million times in a row the first day we got it. I think he has it memorized completely by now. After we read it over and over again, he wanted to go outside and “Crunch, Crunch, Crunch” the leaves just like the mice in the book did.

I’d love to hear how you celebrate this beautiful Autumn season with your family. You can enter to win your own copy of this book for your toddler by letting me know!

I was provided a copy of this book for review by Thomas Nelson through Tommy Mommy. I only represent products I love on my blog, and my opinions given are 100% my own.

If you haven’t already, be sure to enter my current giveaways

You can’t win if you don’t enter!

Our neighbors and us tend to spend Halloween together. We live in a rural area and it is a good time to get together. Not to cold not to hot either. 🙂

We love going pumpkin-picking, finding a nice one and bringing it home to carve a cool jack-o-lantern. We usually cook the pumpkin seeds too.
