My Thoughts:
This is a book that I was comfortable handing to my teen daughter, who is currently reading it. She and I have both enjoyed the trendy upbeat writing style, with our current generation of girls in mind. I think that boredom with faith isn’t something many of us like to admit, but lets face it, it can happen. In From Blah to Awe, Jenna Lucado Bishop addresses the differences in religion and active faith. She gives many examples of teen girls who may have thought their lives ordinary but in reality are extraordinary in their unique ways. This book is written with teen girls specifically in mind. I enjoyed the Sum it Up sections in each chapter as well as the Going Deeper section full of scripture references. This devotional was very easy to read, and I definitely recommend it for a young lady who is looking for a deeper walk with God.
