Somewhere along the line, it appears Seth got married. Oh, he has a lot of excuses, but his wife isn’t too happy to find out Seth doesn’t remember her. Callie isn’t a long-suffering woman.



When Seth disappeared, she searched, prayed, and worried. Now she’s come out west to wrangle her long-lost husband.

Seth is willing to make amends. Callie is more interested in shooting him. Can they rekindle their love before one of them goes over the edge?


My Thoughts-

If you’ve read my thoughts on the first two Kincaid Brides books, Out of Control and  In Too Deep, you know that I’m a huge fan of those Kindaid brothers! Seth’s story has always intrigued me even more than the other two, so I was looking forward to this book since I laid down the one before it.
I don’t recommend jumping in with Over the Edge before reading the other two, because it won’t make much sense, as these aren’t necessarily stand alone books.
At the end of In Too Deep, we realize that Seth has more to his story than even he realizes, when he receives a letter that his wife is on her way to find him. The fact that he can’t even remember having a wife leaves readers wanting to know immediately what in the world is going on?


I’ll admit that this book had a bit of a slow start to me because I immediately did not like Callie. I didn’t trust her, and she was a difficult character to attach to. However, as I continued on, and saw the transformation in Seth as he reunites with his wife, I decided to give her a chance. Without giving away too much in the story, Seth is also united with a few more family members he didn’t realize he had, who add to the plot and story line in a great way.


Over the Edge, like the other books in this series, has a few plot twists and turn that you may or may not see coming, and leave the reader literally on the edge! The ultimate outcome is exactly what readers have hoped for throughout the series, and you realized that in the end a faith in God and love for each other will triumph.
If you’re a fan of faith based trilogies, stories set at the time when the west was being won in America, then I highly recommend The Kincaid Brides to you.
