One Night with a Rock Star by Chana Keefer

July 18, 2013 by Molly

Romance, chemistry, handsome rock stars with British accents, moral
conflict, faith, even Scotland! Could one ask for a better blend to make
the perfect romantic storm?

One Night with a Rock Star-

Good, Country-bred girl meets the Rock Star of her dreams and worlds collide.

For
Esther Collins, struggling journalism student and mediocre print model,
international singing star Sky has been the ultimate male since she
sported frizzy hair, braces and too-skinny legs. She has dreamed of
meeting this icon countless times. But life has a way of happening when
you least expect it… and of coming in hues that don’t fit so easily
into simple black and white.

Will Esther’s deep roots in family and God keep her feet on the ground when a tornado named Sky blows her world apart?

While the title and cover caught my attention first, I only needed to
read the description to know that I had to read this book. I couldn’t
put my Kindle down, and stayed up reading till the early hours of the
night.

So okay, let’s face it, it may not be a very realistic
scenario (getting to hang out with your one celebrity crush and him
falling for you at first sight) but a girl can dream, right?

However,
the situations that Sky and Esther are put in are actually quite
realistic. The chemistry between these two complex characters is very
real, as is the struggle to stay pure and true to your morals.

Esther discovers that navigating between compromise and purity, even with the best intentions can be difficult.
And
Sky… oh Sky, where to begin? It’s a good thing he’s pretty amazing,
or you’d want to ring his neck a few times. This good-looking, quick
witted Brit captures you from the beginning with his playfulness and
charm, and then you want to yell at him for making stupid decisions. You
do, however, get a view into his heart to see why he made the decisions
he did, and why he felt they were right.

I enjoyed that the pace of the book was fast, time goes quickly, and the reader doesn’t get bogged down in a particular day.
It
says there will be a sequel, and I really, really, really wish I didn’t
have to wait so long for that to come out. I truly enjoyed this book,
and highly recommend it for a great summer read!

For a limited time, One Night with a Rock Star is FREE for your Kindle! Get it now, you don’t want to miss this one.

In my opinion, Five Stars all day long!
