My kids are on Spring Break this week, what about yours?
When mine were really young, coloring pages and crafty things would keep them busy for most of a morning. Now that they’re a little older, it’s a lot of “Where are we gonna go today? What are we gonna do today? Can we rent a movie from Redbox? How about a game? Can so-and-so come over? Can we go to a movie? How about the mall, let’s go to the mall…”
Oh, to go back to those younger days when crayons could make them happy.
For those of you who still have kiddos who love coloring pages, I’ve got a free set for you inspired by one of my childhood favorites – Mary Poppins!
These were created just for you, and for the Monday Movie Challenge for March.
About the challenge:
On the last (or fourth) Monday of each month, a group of bloggers participate in a #MovieMondayChallenge, hosted by C’mon Get Crafty! We decide on a topic, genre, or specific movie to use for inspiration and everyone gets free reign to create something wonderful!
This month’s challenge was. . . . KIDS!
Everyone was allowed to choose their own favorite film so long as it was inspired by the challenge word.
My movie selection has been a childhood favorite for generations – Mary Poppins
Find Mary Poppins on Amazon
I had no idea that when Mary Poppins was released in 1964 that they even made movie trailers, did you?
Who can forget the scene when Mary Poppins is measuring Michael and Jane, and then they ask her to measure herself.
She does, and quotes “As I expected, practically perfect in every way”
And of course, when she sings “Just a spoonful of sugar” with the kids, to get them to do their chores and take their daily medicines.
As much as I love Mary Poppins herself, I think my favorite scenes include Bert.
The most recognized part of the entire movie just might be the song “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”
I dare you to sing it in your head and see if it doesn’t get stuck there for a while!
I hope your family will enjoy coloring these pages!
Now let’s see what everyone else was inspired to create for this month’s #MovieMondayChallenge!! If you’d like to join our Facebook group, you can request an invite here.
